Wow! This place has got to be the best place to get a banh mi in Sacramento! Bread is freshly and perfectly made; soft but crunchy on the outside. Sandwich is well balanced and flavorful. Not too spicy either. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi. I'd definitely get it again and would highly recommend this place. Service was quick and courteous as well.

This is one of those spots only the locals know. I personally haven't left a review because the lines are already out the door by 10am, but I can't be selfish anymore. This is hands down my favorite bahn mi spot in the states. I don't even need to explain how good it is. You gotta try it for yourself. Best value for your buck. I've hardly had a place that comes close unless we're in Vietnam. Let me let you in on a little secret... I usually order a ton of the small #3 (Grilled Pork) with the veggies on the side with the garlic bread (freshly baked in-house). & then another with the veggies inside so I can snack on a fresh one on the way home. This is my lunch prep for the week. You toast that baby up and pop on a fried egg... ***chef's kiss*** You're welcome. Please keep this between us so we're not waiting for hours.

Ordered the grilled pork which was pretty good. Pick up at the outside side entrance since the line was long inside. Always great food. Clean establishment. Great location close to other restaurants, gas station, and Walmart.

When I am craving banh mi or want to grab a quick breakfast, this is my go to spot. This is a popular place that gets busy fast. The workers are always on top of it. I have been coming here for over 5 years now and the quality and prices have remained consistently great. In this economy, $6 for a large Vietnamese sandwich is so worth! The bread is freshly baked throughout the day and they pack it with meats and veggies. My morning order would be a coffee, pate chauds (meat pie), and a small #1 (combination pork) or #3 (grilled pork) sandwich. Their Vietnamese coffee might be too strong for me because it makes my heart race, but it's so good that I can't stop drinking it! In the morning they also sell some pastries like chocolate and almond croissants. A tip I have is to come here early to avoid long wait times because it gets very busy as it gets later into the morning and afternoon. The line can wrap around the building, and parking near the store will be difficult. The area it is in can be a little hectic, giving Vietnam vibes. People can get too close to you when standing in line and the driving here is a little crazy, so watch out for that. Also, their regular bread can be replaced with garlic bread and you can ask for extra pickled veggies at no extra charge!

Duc Huong is my favorite Banh Mi place (and likely a favorite of many based on the lines that consistently form). Although prices have increased over the years, as many places have, you can't beat the sandwiches' fresh bread at Duc Huong. Some may not care for the pate (meat paste), but l like everything (the meat, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeño, picked carrots & daikon) in the Banh Mi. If you're not familiar with the area, be careful of the questionable driving l've often witnessed within the vicinity of Duc Huong. Other than that, I love everything about going here - except the very long lines (but that just indicates how good the Banh Mi is)!

This place does not disappoint. The food, the fresh bread, their drink options?! You can't go wrong with their banh mi. When I first introduced my family to this spot, they immediately continuously asked me to grab banh mi for them before I come over... I don't blame them, they're so affordable and tasty! Less than $20 for 3 large banh mi! This spot was packed on a Saturday afternoon! Expect some wait time, bring a book, and listen for your number. It goes by quick and they're usually real busy that you may have a hard time asking for your order if it passed. They still have previews covid covers for their cashiers so try to speak up & pay attention to your orders on the screen. I once had a miscommunication situation where I had ordered 2 of #7 but what I got was 1 order of #2 and 1 #7. But my husband and I still enjoyed the food!

I've seen this place so many times in San Jose but never visited it and somehow we stopped by it here on the way back from Sacramento. Can't believe I didn't try this one before because their banh mi is right up my alley. The baguette is so light and crispy, super authentic if you want a banh mi. Out favorite was again the meatballs (over the bbq pork). We also got some Vietnamese goodies and snacks from there, a plus for this place.

For Banh Mi - used to be a big fan of Lee Sandwich back in the days! Love how they had that happy hours special - buy 2 sandwiches, get 1 free! And the prices were awesomely reasonable! Now Lee Sandwich is ancient history (overrated) as the price has sky-rocketed while portions get less and less. Huong Lan was my next favorite for awhile. But after Covid, it has followed the same pattern as Lee Sandwich - portions and quality get less-n-less, while prices keep climbing! Hooray - Duc Huong is now my new favorite! Prices are still good and their portions at least match with the prices! Still plenty amount of meat and veggies in the Banh Mi. The quality of their bread is much better than other places - fresh, crispy, crunchy, and addicting at every bite!

We ordered a total of 4 sandwiches and they all came out within 10 minutes. They have 3 separate ordering windows so they can help multiple customers at a time which was pretty efficient. The store itself was clean and open but it was hot. We came in on a day where it was triple digit weather in sac and I don't think they had the AC on high enough lol. I had the #1 and my fiance had the #3. We added extra pate (+$.50) and subbed the regular bread for the garlic bread (+$.50). The sandwiches were pretty big for how much they cost (~$7). I preferred the #3 over the #1. Tbh I've had better banh mi's at other places but you can't beat this price. Overall the sandwiches are cheap and good!

5 orders of Large #3 grilled pork ($6 each) sandwiches, everything on them, and 4 fresh hot baguettes as long as my arm! I've heard that calling ahead is recommended, but at the same time, on a Saturday at lunchtime, you will have zero luck with anyone answering the phone. Parking is first-come shared with the plaza where Hao Bao Dumplings, former Vampire Penguin, Pegasus Bakery, and Asian Pearl are. Line up and order inside at any of the open counters, cash and credit accepted, then wait outside for your number to be called (keep the receipt to show them/verify to claim your food at the side door). The wait was at least 20-30 minutes, worth it. Watch out for pigeons overhead if you linger under the business signage. Note that the Large banh mi are the longer baguette bread, while Small are the smaller pointy-shaped bread. They also have other grab-and-go ready made trays of Vietnamese items like spring rolls, chicken, rice, noodles on tables inside while you're in line. Also, I like the Grilled Pork which is not to be confused with BBQ pork which I think is the Chinese char shiu.
